Hello all! It's been a year and I found this link in yahoo search. May 2008? And no answer? wohhhhhh. THIS IS JUST ADVICE. It sounds like the wire(s) came disconnected from the Voltage thing inside.
I just fixed my GE JES1036WF001 microwave. It's 7 years old and after I took it apart, I found the black wire(s) plugging into the High Voltage Transformer (HTV) was burnt and just fell off. I tested the door switches, etc. and just fixed the wire end. I tried out the mic and it worked like new again. I opened the microwave back up and it looks great so....IT WORKS. Don't be afraid of getting shocked, just unplug the thing for at least one minute and you won't. Take yours apart and you should find instructions to help you out. ;-)
