when measuring for a unit the general rule is to deduct 10m/m from both the height and the width therefore 1810 x 740 becomes an 1800 x 730 unit.this allows the door to be toe and heeled using the appropriate width packers.toe and heeling a door is important as this stops the door from dropping; you do not just sit a unit on packers. as for the thickness of the unit, it is unclear whether you have measured from gasket to gasket (rubber to rubber) or from plastic to plastic. just remember that when you bead the door the rubbers will want to compress to form a seal.understand that most frames now take a 28mm unit but you can still get 16mm 18mm 24mm units so seek advice on which thickness unit to buy.also remember the unit has to be toughened

if your mesurments are correct the double glazed unit will be 1800 x 730 and again if mesurments are correct the thickness of glass will be 24mm unless it has a wedge gasket that goes in after glass,if so 20mm,hope this helps
