has my motor gone on my dyson?

Hiya

I plugged in my dyson today to do some hoovering and nothing happened! I swapped the fuse in the plug for a new one and still nothing happened. It was fine yesterday, no smell of burning or anything, but today it is dead, will it be the motor?
It is a dyson DC04 absolute.

same thing happened to my DC04 last night. Turned it on - nothing. My problem was a broken wire. What I did was
a) take off every thing that is easy ie hose, dust box.
b) remove yellow start button (- this is the most difficult bit)push something down the flat side of the switch i used a small allen key and pull the swich up and out took me ages and then it suddenly comes out.
c) undo screw that was under switch.
d) grey swich 'housing' can then be pulled off.
e) slide out yellow rubber protector from housing and reveal cable. make a mental note of the wire routing. I could see that my cable was broken so cut it shorter and atttached new spade connectors
f) put back together if you remember where all the wires went!
