Hi Gemma
We had similar problems when we bought ours. The rev counter and the temperature gauge didn't work because the wiring loom runs around the engine to the alternator and mine had rested against the manifold and had melted through the wires. After replacing the wires, the temperature gauge still didn't work and I needed to replace the temperature sender. I was also told that they run cold but mine definitely moves a couple of notches up the gauge when warm.

oil pressure fault is usualy the control switch mounted on the side of the engine the large switch is the gauge sensor end the small switch is the light switch
the rev counter is taken from the "w" terminal of the alternator .thin wire by itself

thanks James, the oil level is fine on it so maybe its the switch. I will get it looked at. I have been told the gage could be faulty??

check your oil level to start with, if thats ok then it might be the oil pressure swith, if the oil light is coming on then i would say you have very little oil in the engine.
