If your stereo is reading "there is no disc", then your stereo is'nt programed or made to read MP3 audio cd's. I'm assumming the cd's you're referring to are home made. If you're downloading and burning music to a cd as MP3, stop and burn your audio cd's as wav. Depending on the length of the song, 17-21 songs can be burned to a cd as wav, unlike 200-250 as MP3. It'll take alot more blank cd's to get all the music you want, but at least you'll be able to play them in virtually any cd/dvd player, stereo (car or home). Hope this helps.
