Halogen lights blown and replacements not working?

I turned the light on (dimmer switch which never dimmed anyway), and lights went out. There are two sets of three lights operating from the same switch. Investigated and found three/six bulbs had blown simultaneously. Replaced bulbs, still not working. Replaced dimmer switch with normal switch, but still there is no light. The unit says it takes 50W GU10 bulbs which I have used. No idea what make it is, but probably around 5 years old. Thanks for your help

Thanks, the fuses/trip switch is fine (except for wear and tear from turing it on and off), what is the transformer likely to look like and where will it be, thanks?

Those bulbs are driven by a transformer. If your fuses/trips are OK then it sounds like yours has blown. You need to find it and replace it.
