ravenheat csi85t problem.?
boiler fires up but does the burner flame goes out after 2-3 seconds & then repeats this sequence.
This happens whether on cwntral heating or hot water mode.
1. The fan is running
2. the pump is running
3. the clip-on overheat thermostat is working.
4. there is no condensor trap sensor,& trap is clean anyway.
5. the flue has been checked & is clear of any restriction/obstruction.
6. both pipes fitted to air switch are not kinked or resricted.
7. If the air differential switch is activated manually (i.e. blowing & holding the air pressure through the tube that fits to the flue, the boiler will stay on until the pressure is released then it will cut out.
My initial reaction is to suspect the air switch which is £88 + vat, however if the fan does not run at fullspeed, causing reduced air differential could this then be the fan itself or the fan control board.
p.s. fan appear to run smoothly with no sticking ,have also put a small amount of lube on the motor shaft.
Running out of ideas now.
Can anyone give me a clue.
