I have bypassed the feed to the clutch direct via the switch to the clutch mechanism.
However I think that sparking is caused in the switch which burns out the contacts.
Perhaps there is a capacitor on the PCB which quences this spark. replacement switches cost £UK30.
Any better solutions please.

I have a similar problem, but not quite the same. When I put down the blade switch the blades start rotating but when I release the switch and it self centres, the blades stop. I can mow the grass, but I have to hold down the switch on the dash. Any ideas?

i had the same problem, that the electronic clutch to fire the blades and they wouldnt work, its usually down to the resisters in the dash display that control the relays that are burn out, i replaced the resisters on the circuit board and up fired the blades again,

Check for power to the electric clutch or possibly a broken feed wire to the clutch as this is in an area which is vunerable to the elements .

i have the same problem with my countax mower, the cutter blades wont come on, was also told to check the fuse first under the dash board above the battery, someone also told me to check for a inline fuse,if all fuses ok,next make sure foot brake on,also make sure power is getting to magnetic clutch above blades, also this mower has a cut out switch under the seat,

Assume not a loose belt so possibly blown fuse. Had this happen to mine a couple of times after I stalled blades when using a very low cutting height.
