how can i reset the sound as it's intermittent

Thanks to firestarter for letting us know how to perform a full reset and format of the Thomson DTI-6300 Top Up TV Anytime box. Do the following:
Menu > Setup > Help
Then press the Green Button (Even though it doesn't show as an option)
Then press the Red button for a full reset
Warning: You will lose all data on the Hard Disk!

Ro revert to factory default, press Menu - then 4 set-up, 6 Help, then press green button. Bottom of screen will be option for factory settings, and HDD Format and Software revert.

On the menu select help then key in 1397. This gives you the engineers menu. There is a factory reset option in here

If one box works and another doesn't you could still have an aerial problem as some boxes are more sensitive that others. Additionally boxes that have two tuners (recorders) need a stronger signal. Finally if you are driving more than one aerial output from a single aerial without an amplifier that could be a problem too.
Check your aerial and connectors.
