How do I fix my external hard drive?

I put the wrong power lead into my external hard drive and it was 20v instead of 12v. The drive no longer works. Would I have burnt out a fuse or would it be more complicated than that. It is a toshiba 320GB drive.

There may be a fuse and the fuse - if there is one - may have blown but before it blew the excess voltage may well have done considerable damage. You offered up 67% overvoltage - various electrical components, passive and active, will have failed catastrophically.
