|Re Finding PASSAP MOTOR
I guess if in the UK other than few places dealing in machine knitting bits you are limited to Preloved,Classifieds, Free Ads etc., Ebay although I would try to buy from a 'knitter' if poss.-provided you can see it working-rather than an Ebay dealer. Dealers on Ebay are my bete noir, it's infuriating how they push prices up, buying up cheap, + relisting same item/s next day at almost double what they paid!!! Aaaagh!
Also Machine Knit. Guild has 'For Sale' list, likewise MK Monthly's, or ask on one of Passap forums at Yahoo. If in Canada or US you seem to have more choice, there seem to be a number of places still selling Passap stuff, some of it new (not sure how that works) can find them using Google
I was INBELIEVABLY lucky + got E6000 complete with colour changer, motor, overlocker, Hague linker AND '06 Designaknit from really kind woman selling off her friend's (who had sadly died) knitting machine prior to emigrating. I was over the moon when saw the knitting machine that I offered more money-it was so cheap, I'd have felt bad if hadn't. Seeing my delight with E6000 she suddenly offered me all these boxes of' 'extras;' it was a wonderful surprise! A dream come true for a MK addict with no spare cash!
I'm eternally grateful to her. All I need now is: how to put it together again (lost notes written as dismantled for transport) and HOW to use it-its rather daunting when used Japanese machines and are bit nervous of it. Need lessons, but no funds,or another fairy godmother!!
|where can l buy the motor for an e6000 passap
|there should be a lever at the back of the locks to dis-engage the belt drive, just push it one way to use by hand and then back again to use the motor drive
