Don't worry about STING, it's normal. Doesn't appear to do it with the latest version (loader: a4.09 / software: 1.00.15). This can be downloaded direct from Humax at:

Regarding the short-circuit problem, go to the menu, then Installation and ensure Antenna Power is set to OFF.

My loader application runs every time I run from standby too. This is my third unit as the first two seemed to stop at loader 70% then hang with the time shown in the window and wouldnt move from there. I never unplug mine and it always does this. All the units i have had have done.
Mine also shows a short circiut problem when i try to put on another freeview box on any other point on the system, tv engineer cannot find a s/c in the wiring , can only asssume it doesnt like being shared on an ariel.
As for the STING message - i got that for the first few times I switched on , then it went off by itself.

Hi Terry,
Thanks for this. I'm not unplugging it, and this is the mystery. It shouldn't need to reboot every time. Sometimes it does start normally and doesn't need to start the loader.
The EPG does build and update without the unit using loader. I know this because on rare occasions it can be a couple of weeks before I see the loader run on start up.
If anyone else out there has a Humax 9200T I would be interested to know if you see the same behaviour.

I assume that a 9200T is a PVR?
Your PVR is acting perfectly normnally for a box that has lost mains power. Are you unplugging it? I don't know why you think that STING means what you say, it could mean anything.
All PVRs are really computers that don't look like computers. It looks like your box is restarting the Operating System everytime. I guess that you are switching off mains power or unplugging it from the mains somehow? You should leave it in standby because then it won't need to reboot everytime. Additionally DVB-T (Freeview in the UK) boxes need to update their EPG (Electronic Programme Guide) all the time, especially overnight.
