You can disassemble the gear box by removing the gearbox, unscrew the plastic gear, remove the nut that holds the socket for the mixer attachments and remove the rotating head, unscrew the 6 screws and pry the case open, carefully take out the gears and do not lose any of the washers, remove the old grease, degrease then grease and reassemble. However, unless you need to disassembe it is easier to pull the push in plug and unscrew the grease cover (top and bottom) then use a grease gun to push in the grease. Recap and run the mixer to distribute the grease. If the grease in the gearbox is old you may have liquid leak out when you uncap the hole.
